Boys and Girls Club - Summer II 2010

"The adults are having more fun than some of their kids. And the kids are really engaged. "

"One of the B&G club reps asked me how we did it...held the students attention for more than 5 minutes."

"I wish we could have allowed the students without their parents to join in. Their faces look so sad because their friends keep telling them how fun everything is and about the candy."

"I can't wait to get to my school and incorporate this. I know it will be a success."

"Our project was on a level too high for some of the kids, especially this one little boy. And I was scared I couldn't explain it on his level so we just started talking about the beach and having fun.... I realized I may have to change my lesson instantly when I have a student that isn't getting it so they can learn something too."

"The students were so smart, it really kept me focused. I learned from them probably more sometimes than they learned from me."
